Now former captain of the St.Louis Blues and current member of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Brewer played his best hockey in the 10-11 season as a member of the Blues. The big veteran defenseman had been plagued by injuries his entire time in St.Louis and was finally healthy for a full year, some will argue Brewer was in a contract year, I lead to believe health goes a long way and we finally got to see the real Eric Brewer that Larry Pleau traded for. Before Brewer was dealt to Tampa he had tied a career high in goals (8) in the regular season. Brewer’s success continues on as he along with Matthias Ohlund have anchored down the blue line for the Tampa Bay Lightning as they make a run for Lord Stanley.
