I've recently replaced my Dura Ace pedals for Speedplays mainly for the weight savings. However for some reason I don't feel safe on sprints or out of the saddle climbs. Is it my perseption or is it true?
It really depends on which Speed Plays you went with... Shimano SPD sl's are 3* of float while some speedplays can be as much as 15*.
So if you speedplay cleat is yellow you have the full float available and you can trim that out as well.
